Good day all my lovelies. Time is flying! For those of you that might have missed it, on the 6th of May it was officially 3 months since my life was turned upside down with my diagnoses of Myocarditis. It has been a big adjustment and learning curve to find my new “normal” and it’s still a bit of a dance I’m having to do to make sure I actually recover, but like they say… time heals all wounds. So for now I just need to take deep breaths and trust the process.
The last couple of weeks has been a bit rough, with symptoms popping up and just feeling horrendous & to be honest at times hopeless. This experience has definitely put everything into perspective. Life is short friends and we tend to take our health for granted, it’s a gift, treasure it.
I am happy to report with some slight adjustments to my medication, and making sure I do not overdo things on the physical side; mostly thanks to the amazing E-bike LIV has so kindly supplied me, I am feeling loads better again. Baby step!
If any of you have been through this recovery process please let me know how you found it! It seems to be one of those things that is quite individual, but any advice or expertise I can get from someone that has walked this road will be greatly appreciated.
I truly believe, with God’s grace, I will make a full recovery, but I am not going to rush this. We only get one heart and unfortunately I have seen how bad it can get with my dad and grandpa that has had to walk through/ with heart issues. Thankfully, I have no permanent damage SO now all I need is patience and time.
I am beyond thankful to have such amazing doctors looking after me, and I have no words to describe how grateful I am to my sponsors that’s stayed by my side through this rough patch. I am missing the racing scene, which I am seeing that as a positive. At least it means my hunger and drive is coming back so we are making progress because that was also not what it used to be for a while, here I was thinking that was just due to getting older... meanwhile it was my bodies subtle hints something was wrong!
Please feel free to subscribe or follow along on my social media channels. As always stay safe and happy riding!
Love ,
M
